Alexander Emerich Jonesย (born February 11, 1974) is an American talk radio host and filmmaker. Hisย syndicatednews/talk showย The Alex Jones Show, based out of Austin, Texas, airs via the Genesis Communication Network over 60 AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations across the United States and on the Internetย His websites include Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com.
Mainstream news sources have referred to him asย right-wing,ย conservative,ย and aย conspiracy theorist.ย Journalist Michelle Goldberg has statedย that Jones represents "an old strain of American conservatism,ย isolationist, anti-Wall Street, paranoid about elite conspiracies that last flowered during the John Birch Society's heyday."
Jones identifies as aย libertarian, not a right-winger,ย and calls himself aย paleoconservative.ย In a promotional biography he is described as an "aggressiveย constitutionalist"
