A djembe is a skin-covered hand-drum commonly used in nearly all ceremonies in West Africa.
According to the Bamana people in Mali, the name of the djembe comes directly from the saying “Anke dje, anke be” which literally translates to “everyone gather together,” thus defining the drum’s purpose.
Standing at approximately 24” tall and having a diameter of approximately 12” across its head, these full-sized djembes are available in a variety of designs.
Hand-carved to perfection by expert craftsmen, these drums emanate a deep, rich, and loud bass tone.
So, bring the sounds of Africa into your home and discover a new passion with these authentic African Djembe Drums.
